There is way too much information missing here.

#1 The average training period last only 5 weeks. That's average, some run longer, others shorter.

#2 We don't know if he is a company driver, or if he leased a truck.

#3 We don't know who he works for.

#4 Those $53 paychecks...... No Comment.

Did he get conned into leasing one of their trucks ???? That would go a long way in explaining the short checks.

CR training doesn't take that long. He is solo and has chosen NOT to come home for some reason or another.

Or he is running team with someone...and losing his ### while they take home time.

If he is company. CR may be trying to starve him into a lease, in which case...he will still starve.

It would be simple to get to the bottom of this. Your niece needs to make the phone call, then lay it all on the line...Home within the next 14 days, or she's filing for a divorce.

    I suspect she'll get an answer she won't like....regardless.

Please look past the snarky insults from some. We tend to be blunt and sometimes rude (yes even me.....there are people rolling on the floor laughing at my statement as I type)

Please give us more information so we might be able to give you some type of idea of what might be taking place.

If he was convinced to take the lease from CR England then he could be bringing home next to nothing. However what often happens to a new driver is they take "draws" on their salary and blow it on fast food, video games etc at the truck stops.

Is he teaming? If so he may be caught in a situation where the other driver is taking hometime and he's getting stuck at the other driver's area.

What else can you tell us?

I'm sure your neice is a lovely young woman and you're trying to help her figure this all out. (or you're the lovely young neice and you're trying to figure out if your husband is being abused or if he's a lying piece of scum) either way.....we'll try to help.
