try looking into ffe ---- good school and decent company--- i am happy with them so far and when i am around the terminal you hardly hear bad talk -- you have to have a 1 yr comitment --- should be around 40,000 the first year -- they have plenty of frieght and mostly food so its more steady than a dry van company --your not going to get tp dollar out of the gate untill you get a year experience ---

Ok, so I didn't actually read anything past TreeFork's reply. You live in an interesting area. If you are looking for a change and like safety (I do, I'm nerd and think regulations are cool) you should look into doing OSHA safety. I know of place that was looking for someone in the WI market to be the regional OSHA coordinator for several meat packing locations in north central wisconsin. Pay was good, benefits we're excellent. You'd be on the road Monday-Thursday then home for the weekend, 3rd shift work. But if I didn't have kids, or didn't mind being away from home I would have jumped all over that opportunity.

Thanks for the info!! I was leaning towards the 11/3 anyway ... honestly I'd want to stay out for more like 14 to start just to get more miles in.

You telling this to me?

I'm just telling it, I like to read my own words. I just quit reading after you post, my comments aren't actually directed at anyone well kind of the OP. He lives in a good area, I'm not sure that you do, but I'm not sure that's totally wrong either. I'll stop typing now since I'm not even sure what I'm talking about anymore.

And Cut! End scene. Great job Tom, you played the rambling goofball to the T! That's a wrap for today folks! After party at Denny's, see you there.

Wanted to stop in here again and thank all those who left replys in this thread and helped me out with some information. I actually decided to apply at Millis and will be starting with them on Aug 27th. Roehl was defiantly up there in a close second to what company I was going to choose. I think I made a good decision for what I personally am looking for, but I think Roehl would of been a great company as well.
Thanks again and when I pass you all on the road I'll make sure to wave!
