I have 18 months of local experience & decided to go otr and am currently at almost 5 months. My plan is to save to buy a truck thru a bank and lease it onto a company. But my question is I've noticed a lot of companies are requiring 1 year of experience some even 2 years. Do you know of any companies that will let a owner operator lease his truck on with only 6 months experience?

    Maybe A&R Logistics.
Pretty sure Cardinal Logistics will hire you.

I signed on with a few companies with less then there requirements. Those only really apply if you are going to run under there authority and insurance.

    You might consider Crete.
Sometimes it might be worth a call.
I got hired by a company with a bit less experience than they preferred. Companies can bend their rules when they want to.
