    As I understand it, the downtime when hauling frac sand is being truck #20 in line at the frac site waiting to drop your box and leave. It's dirty, dusty, remote, in the middle of nowhere. It's like a truck-only traffic jam at the site pulling forward 10 feet every 15 minutes.

    New Interstate 11 being built that runs from Mexico to Canada and bypasses California.
    Maybe drive construction trucks and get involved in that. Probably need to rent a room somewhere along the route; Phoenix, Las Vegas, Reno, etc. Since you live in your truck, won't need a full apartment; just a room.

    Check with your dmv. Many states will give you a discount if you get the Twic and Hazmat endorsement at the same time. Same background check.
