HELLO ALL TRUCKERS. I am a delivery driver down on his luck who decided to pivot to becoming a truck driver. I am applying for grant assistance to go pay for CDL school after being turned from the Motor Carrier CDL programs. My case manager wants me to reach out to truckers (or truck driver hiring managers/recruiters) and ask some basic questions about the industry. They are quick, and should take about several minutes. I do require names and phone#s, so I am offering payment via cashapp!!
In short, I am looking for truckers, or people who hire truckers, to do quick interviews with over text/DM ! Bestow your trucking wisdom upon me!

Hello, would you be able to message me so I could ask some more questions?
-
Post them here.
break them down in a list and engage with those who respond.
Also, tell us where you are and other details.Sons Hero, Speedy356 and Mega Express Thank this. -
No definitely not. I've never heard of such a thing. There's no case manager in the world that would require a broke doordash driver to solicit phone numbers and names for cash.

The case manager just wants me to reach out to truckers and interview them, they want the names and phone #s of those I interview, I presume so that they know I'm not just making people and interviews up. I don't know any truckers personally, so one such way I am trying to get responses is asking on forums and offering money on my own volition as an incentive, because I know names and phones# are sensitive info to many.

I am in southern AZ!
The questions seemed to be designed to ensure I gain a realistic perspective on the highs and lows of working as a trucker, so that way if there is anything innate about the job that would filter me out, I get filtered out early on before the government pays for a chunk of my schooling. Any answers are appreciated, but anyone who can go a step further and provide them to me in a direct message with name, position, company and phone number I will pay with cashapp or venmo, as the interviewees will presumably need to be verifiable by my case manager for me to qualify for the grant.
