1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I have 26 yrs in the trucking industry. Recently lost my job with a major carrier due to an accident. Looking for work, (like alot of us) in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. Trying to find something that is out and back....preferably, not out 3-4 weeks at a time. Might be hoping for miracles here, but never know. Have exp. with flats, dry vans, and refers. Would like to stay away from flats, but will do it for work. any and all help from all will be appreciated. Thanks and stay safe!

If i were you driver i would check the umemployment office or check the local newspaper ads. Are just hit the ground running and start going around your area knocking on these small companies doors. With you experience, i know there are plenty of small companies that would love to have you work for them. Its just take time to find them, you just gotta really get out there and look. Thing with these's small companies, their not going to be in these trucking magazine or ads online. It might take awhile but just keep being consistance and stay determine to get what you want driver. oh yeah also with most of these small companies, they will give you the hometime you need. You say you are looking for out and back runs, most of time thats all these small companies do. It took me awhile to find the right job, but with determination and hard work, i find the company i was lookin for. But like i say driver you just gotta get out there and pound the concrete. wish you luck out there driver, you take care.

Another place you might want to look is dallas craigslist. Just be careful of who your sending your information to. Research them first and if they do not want to give any of there information to you, avoid them.
