Looking for work with poor work history

Does anyone have any advice for companies to look for that'll hire people who live in Utah? The worst of my work experience is because of job hopping, I should have done a better job in the past of communication with dispatchers but no use crying over spilled milk.

I've got experience with van and refrigerated, automatic only unfortunately but I'm willing to learn manual and flatbed. I've run all over the lower 48, and I've got a double's endorsement. I'm willing to be out for months at a time with only a few days at home, and I do have a medium sized dog that I'd like to have with me bc nobody at home can take care of her bc of bad situations all around

I'm currently with a fly by night company who has some really ####### equipment, one of the previous drivers of this truck put it in a ditch and tore the bumper off, which still has yet to be fixed, it won't automatically regen, the transmission is ####ed and won't go into certain gears and slips into neutral when starting from a stop. The brakes on this trailer that I picked up from another driver were down to the ####ing rivets, the trailer relay valve was ####ed, and now I'm sitting for over a week bc I couldn't make a delivery after the five hours of sitting at the shop to get this #### fixed. A shop, mind you, that was an hour out of route.

 

How serious is the job hopping?

 

It's not good, about a year on average

 

Aside from that, though, my record is clean. One speeding ticket in 2018, in a personal vehicle that I owned at the time, and I was rear ended in a semi by a CUV in 2021 in southern Idaho

 

Plenty of OTR jobs in Utah and can take the dog.
Myself and others will give you some names of companies.

 

I should specify that they don't have to be in Utah, just that they would be willing to hire someone from Utah. I live in between SLC and Moab
