1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Prefer some one in Maine area. Have 22,496 logged miles. Looking for company that has Century Freightliner w/13spd that I can work off. Pull your loads, you pay me percentage of load, you broker, but nothing southern NY or Boston. Would like if Century had half million mi, would consider a Classic, yet prefer Century. Would love dedicated route if poss, more mi the better. Also willing to be casual driver, lets talk. Truck should have no higher than 3:58 rears, 13spd OD, 200gals, Webasto heater, functioning AC. Can pay some of purchase w/CC. National recruiters I have no interest in, thankyou

My Dad always told me when I was growing up, "if you dont have the money to buy it, try and work something out, alot of people will trade sweat of the brow for something they have".

The Uncle Henry's in my area shows a nice '98 Classic for 12,5 that could easily do the job, alas no response from the seller (not that I dont blame them).

The only other thing I can do is offer 2 acres of land off of the property we live on. $40k Not like we have people breaking down our door for that. It has nice sunsets tho, as the piece faces to the west.

The "where I stand" note is for some whom asked about my drive way picture on a halloween thread.

Am I reading this right? You have 22,496 miles under your belt? What's that like 2 months experience? And you're making demands on what kind of truck you want to drive? And you wonder why you're still LOOKING for work? :biggrin_25523:

    Gears Thanks this.

4 months on paper with CR England (according to my DAC) and 1 month with Western Express. Yet the total miles driven is above 22k. Since you had to ask. I just figured in this market of surplus, that there are bound to be drivers whom might be thinking of getting a newer truck and know that their old one is still good for miles. So here is to that driver, some one out there still has a heart (unlike some on this board) and is willing to try a rookie out and give them that golden opportunity.

I originally hoped it was going to be Gears. But alas he traded my rig off. Going to keep reminding you of it too Gears. Grin.

So the truck that I am searching for is rather common. If you yourself (Tankergirl80) didnt work on your dreams and gave up for what ever your driving is not my fault. I have standards, and I plans on meeting those standards. I also have ethics and morals to life. I am a great person once you get to know me. Yet I will return the attack if you do so, and you have.

This is a sample of rigs available out there of my spec, some of them dont have all the specs, but hey that is fine, I can get the accessories in time.

    Rig #1

    Rig #2

    Rig #3

When I got my 1st truck, it was something along these lines:
    http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=2456225

I got it for under $9,000. A 2000 Century. Maybe find something similar, lease on to Landstar or somebody like that until you can bank enough to buy your own trailer, have some $$ in reserve and get your own Authority.

Biggest obstacle someone that would want to help you faces is the insurance factor.
