I live very close to Norfolk Virginia. Almost the same distance behind me is Langley AFB (home of the USAF Air Combat Command) just beyond that is the Yorktown Navy weapons station. I doubt I will even have time to take note of the bright light! Honestly, I would have it no other way!

I look forward to seeing the girls at the grocery store at the midpoint of my trip. I look forward to seeing my favorite people at my destination terminal. I look forward to seeing the guys back at the home terminal. And then I look forward to amping up my dogs and making them lose their ####ing minds because Dad is home. I don't get to see the wife until the morning.

I do get a nice hour-and-a-half visit with my wife everyday before work, over coffee. I guess that's where my day actually starts.

MartinFromBC, bzinger and CastleNut Thank this.

True indeed I travel that section quite often I-80 in PA. Yes it is a long way down. That is not a section you want to be lost in thought, sleepy or drifting. You definitely would have a hard fall. I'm definitely aware when I'm driving on I-80. Seen a few trucks laying down on I-80 so it keeps me focused.

Getting off major highways onto secondary roads, but best is getting off anything paved, and onto the bush roads, where God blesses me for having put up with the cagers on the pavement.
Then in the evening a good hot meal, and comfortable hotel room with a nice bed, tv, and bath tub.

I really enjoy getting all over, all the time. Last week I was on the east coast near Cape Cod. Today I’m on the west coast near San Francisco.
