Do any of you guys and gals have any info and incite on them I would greatly appreciate it. Trying to get as much info before I talk to a recruiter.
I’m based in Zanesville,Ohio, about 44 miles east of Columbus, I seen they have a terminal in columbus would I go to training in over there?
how’s the home time looking, I have full custody of my disabled kiddo and have to be back home on my resets to get her meds and appointments lined up for the following week.
Seen they run KW and internationals. How hard is it to not end up in a international lol. Me and internationals have a deep rooted love hate relationship lol

Their HQ is about 100 miles from here. Some like it, some hate it and call it J&R Screwgel. I'm not sure how they assign trucks, perhaps an insider will come along to explain that side. I also haven't seen very many Internationals (if any at all) coming through our local plant. Maybe all the reefer drivers have KWs? Your home time will depend widely upon what you are hired to do (Dedicated/Regional/OTR).
Now with that said, they do seem to do a good job at maintaining their equipment, and I haven't seen too many guys driving there that looked completely homeless, so they most likely pay on time, every time, and in the right amount. Just remember, mega is as mega does. They have about 700 trucks, so don't think its going to be a "know everyone by their name" kind of place... you're always going to be a truck number to them.48Packard, snowmantrucking101, Another Canadian driver and 1 other person Thank this. -
REO6205 and Another Canadian driver Thank this.

You do know with no experience you will be gone in the beginning 1 + months before seeing home again, right? You have all that responsibility on you, you need local period.GoneButNotForgotten Thanks this.

@taxi2alpha do you have your cdl?
@DRTDEVL Hmm Kinda of but NO, our oldest truck is 2019 we run both KW T680 and International LT, we just ordered 300 BRAND NEW 2023 KW, they just updated their pay, believe it’s around .60/cpm or more, we run reefer and dry van. They have a terminal right up the road from you off exit 118 I-70, they actually have a dedicated run from Niagara Water to Walmart dc in Washington Court House, that would be a salary job believe the pay is $225/day
Or you can go OTR or regional
Great company to work for let me know if you have any questions
I’m actually a driver for themAttached Files:
Speed_Drums Thanks this. -

@DRTDEVL also you are NOT JUST A TRUCK NUMBER, I can cal ANYONE in that office and say hey it’s Kevin and they know who I am
Don’t believe all that uou read or “think you know” unless you work for the company
@snowmantrucking101 ALSO FALSESpeed_Drums and REO6205 Thank this. -
What did I say that was incorrect? Some like it, some don't? Most are KW? They seem good at maintaining the equipment? Home time depends upon the position? That they have about 700 trucks?48Packard Thanks this.
-
If I were interested in a company reefer position, they’d be one of the few I’d consider for the reasons DRTDEVL expressed.
-
What am i wrong on oh great one? The fact that Shugle sucks out loud? You know good & well NO student is going home anytime soon on a training truck. You think otherwise you're delusional.
-
That they are a big company and will ONLY BE A TRUCK NUMBER TO THEM and that’s simply not true
