    Can anyone tell me whether or not they get you home when you need to be home? Specifically, I'm in Fontana, CA right near the terminal, and because I've only had 3 mos OTR experience, I'll most likely have to do long haul, according to a recruiter I talked to a couple months ago. But until I get this house sold and the family moved out (we are going to North Carolina), I'm going to need to get home on occasion to get things done smoothly. If they do indeed get you home every 14 days, I'm probably going to jump. I'm only used to a 48' Flatbed, but I'm pretty sure I could make a 53 footer work for me.

    Anyone driving for KLLM on the West Coast?

    I'll be honest with ya, one of the reasons I quit is because I wasn't getting home when I asked to be. The only two times I made a request for hometime, it was a day or two later before I got there. However, I lived 200 miles from the closest terminal.

    Hmmm.... Well, I'm right next to one right now, but in Charlotte, I'm sure it's going to be much farther away.

    TMC, KLLM, TMC, KLLM....... hmmmmmm...

    This all of course depends on whether or not TMC will give me another shot. I will not put up with another filthy know-it-all, dirtball, nonshowering, pig of a trainer there again.

    Yeah, Atlanta would be the closest to me if I'm in Charlotte. 245 miles away.

    There seems to be no shortage of freight out that direction, so hometime shouldn't be a problem.

    Charlotte probably wouldn't be as bad as extreme southern IL was for me. I was on the east coast, in the south west and up north more than I was anywhere else.

    Oh yeah, and familiarize yourself with Salinas, CA. 90% of KLLM's outbound freight from CA comes outta Salinas. Specifically Fresh Express.

    Yeah, I've heard that. Talked to a KLLM driver about two months ago in a parking lot. She said that they are closing Salinas and I'd probably be running a lot of freight out of Salinas, through Fontucky, toward Yuma.

    She also said she had no complaints after 11 years with KLLM doing long haul.

    Has anyone out there been through the Atlanta orientation with KLLM? If so what part of Atlanta is it located, how was it and how long were you there? Also, where did they put you up?

    Thanks! :yes2557::biggrin_25514::yes2557:

    I can't answer any of your questions except where the terminal is located. It's on the SW side of town. More south than west, near the 75/285 split.
