Hang on OP gives so much advice to other drivers or prospective drivers and has never driven. Not just the OP but a few others also.

I give advice on things that you really don't need to be a truck driver to give advice on. For example a thread about fridges or coolers to store food. Do i really need to be a truck driver to give an opinion on that? I also straight up say i'm not a driver so people can take my opinions or throw them out the window.

Dude, company driver is the way to go. Get your 2 or 3 years and make 70 to 90k a year. Why would you want that headache? You sound like a young driver or an old driver who keeps bouncing from small white Volvo truck companies.

Editing: unless you suck at driving and have a poor driving record. Then yeah go ahead and lease, cause good companies don't want ya

Lessee agrees to pay any repairs, but he isn't the one spec'ing those repairs. Might as well drop 'em and reach for the vaseline jar, the 1qt jar. The maintenance escrow forfeiture only means the examiner gets to invite some friends.
