    Should be any number of trucking outfits in the area who do local P&D with daycabs. Just keep an eye on the places you already go and talk to the drivers you see. Over the years I've met dozens who work that way in every big city.

    Actually, that's how I started waaaaaaay back when; straight truck, day cab hauling trailer loads and then OTR.

    Ideally that seems to be the way it works, but there are differing opinions and experiences in the thread linked here.

    I suppose the OP could also look into straight trucks / concrete deliveries, seems to be a need for that in the city also.
