If you would have read that is after taxes and while I find it hard to believe making that much in one week Otr driving I still do not work near as many hours as Otr drivers so therefore enjoy more free time
if I did work your hours it would add up $4080 gross for 2 weeks or a yearly of $106080 so for half the hours, zero road expenses, and not being in a truck 24/7 I will glady do my 40 for $50000 yearly

Different strokes for different folks. I don't work hard - I work smart, and for myself. No stinkin' boss here except for me. And yeah, if you know how to run a truck AND a business, its quite possible to do very well as a lease-op here.

So nobody is paying you to haul their freight?
If they are then that's called a boss and if you are just dead heading around the country then there's no boss but as long as somebody is paying you to have their freight there at a specified time then yes--it is a boss
and yes I can run a truck well and good when it is not for crooks--as my current hauler well knows just be honest with me and we will both profit nicely from this endeavor but most (not all) Otr companies do not find honesty in their vocabulary.

I shattered your "I am my own boss" fantasy and that is the best comeback you have?
That "might try a mirror" makes zero sense--oh I get it now--look at myself because I am not as good at driving a truck as you are?
Whatever makes you feel better about yourself I guess

Whatever you think goldsmith. I am an independent contractor - I order my comings and goings, and if I don't care to run, I don't. You came onto the site, and indicated you made... what was it? $400 in a couple of months? Not a very good testimonial to your abilites. Then you brag about $1485 in two weeks... that's nothing to brag about. If you expect you're not going to be challenged on this stuff, you came to the wrong place.

    OpenRoadDreamer Thanks this.

But as I said originally I made $400 in 2 months with prime thru their system of finding "extras" to charge for--not a lack of trying
and for working half the hours of an Otr driver my money is great

I am lost on the people that pay you to haul freight though--do they pay you if you don't deliver at all?
Or if somebody is not paying you to do a job with your truck then you are still making money?
Just at least where I am at somebody must pay us to move a load to make money which means even if for one hour they are our boss
