I'll see what I can do...it will be next week or the week after before I get to switch trucks. The truck I'm getting has to make its way from MI, then go through the shop (management PM)...I was told they would run me through there after the truck is ready...so I wouldn't have to wait on it...I gotta go to 2 days of training.

The truck I'm in is being "processed out"...and its way past due. After all that waiting on a new truck...somebody else gets it and I get another 2007 :biggrin_25523:...just my luck.:yes2557:

The heavy haul trucks are a bit different than the rest...there are a couple of modifications involved with pulling the RGN's. (too bad one of those mods isn't a 600 Cat with an 18 speed, LOL)

no doubt, it's frustrating being the slowest #### truck on the road. :biggrin_25523:

    YEEEEHAAAAW!!!!

The truck I'm getting is a 2006 (orange truck)....its NOT an automatic :biggrin_25519:

Sure...its old, but it doesn't have many more miles on it than the 2007 that I'm getting out of.

It ain't my first time driving an orange truck, LOL...

If anybody is interested...I believe they need another driver...maybe a couple even.

One of the long time heavy haul drivers decided to retire Monday for medical reasons (nothing serious...she is fine, just decided it was time), that worked out somewhat to my advantage it seems.

I'm not sure what they require as far as experience and such...but I could probably find out.

    Well...I'm "punkin truckin" again.

Feels good to be shifting gears again, no loads yet...still some more training to go, they sent me to KS for some account specific training.

Monday afternoon should be my first load...

Not likely...most of them are sand trucks now, I doubt I'll have this one very long but I'm gonna enjoy it while it lasts.

I asked about the requirements for this division...they are as follows.

Willing to stay out 4-5 weeks at a time (sometimes more)
TWIC cardholder (they will help you get it)
    Passport holder
Oversize experience preferred...but not required. They will train you, but this stuff CANNOT all be covered in a classroom...much of it is on the job training, learn as you go...VERY CAREFULLY...we have 2 drivers that know this stuff inside and out (been doing it for years), their phone numbers are made available.

I was told they could use 1 more driver...and that they had 2 drivers interested in the position.
