I've been too busy to post much...but I'm still rollin...should be heading for home tomorrow.
I'll try to do better at keeping the thread going after I get back from vacation (off for 11 days)...but all I've been hauling is combines, the only thing different I could have (and should have) posted was the one that I hauled on blocks (wheels off).
I never expected to stay so busy at this...but "busy" is good.
Looks like I'm going back to Specialized...

The combine from hell

That thing was trouble from the start, everything that could have went wrong....did go wrong!
First of all...it wasn't ready when I got there (Merril, OR) had to wait until the next day to go get it...then the permits were all sorts of screwed up...then I had a hard time finding an escort (another whole day of waiting)...and for all 1,800 miles of the trip over here the #### combine tires (the 2 stacked on the rear deck of the trailer) kept "walking" themselves loose, I musta had to stop 10 times to straighten those things up and re-tighten them...but I finally got the darn thing delivered
This morning as I was doing my pre-trip on the combine from hell I saw this...whats wrong with this picture?
![[IMG]](proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi217.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fcc137%2FRidgerunner665%2F0925110810.jpg&hash=d2d9f99117870d19aa4f064935eb99df)
But thats truck driving...I'm loaded again and ready to roll in the morning, short load (only 180 miles...but I get paid for 350 miles)...and the combine is a different color, LOL.
The Case combines are easier to load...better mirrors, less crap that has to be tied down too (loose fitting panels and such)
Its not quite secured in this pic, but here it is...
seawheeler Thanks this. -
It looks like the location of the ladder is better on the john deere than the case. How wide does that ladder on the case make it?
