    Those $15.00 hr jobs went away when the oil fields started laying off.
    You're correct about no one forcing people to work at Walmart. Same goes for truck drivers complaining about pay when they settle for a company that pays low wages instead of getting all the endorsements and making a decent living. Sometimes, for retail, trucking, etc. it's best to relocate to where the better jobs are, but many can't or won't do that.

    What a lot of people don't realize is that in many areas, Walmart pays their employees above the prevailing local wage for unskilled labor. It's the best paying job around for them.

    I can remember many years ago the DC in Grove city was starting out dock workers at almost $12/hr, and I think that was over 15 years ago, and I can remember back then also my wife at the time was working as cashier at the local store in Heath and with health and stock, she was doing just great
