I am awaiting to Green Light to go back to loose leaf Logs, I take 3 times the amount, I want the one that gets filed to look perfect, I keep my book right up to the last stop, I got pulled in up in WY one time and the gal asked me how long I had been driving I said how long does it look like? she said for years and your logs are perfect, easy to read I know exactly where you were at what time she said look and passed it to the gal next to her and she was impressed with it to, So I said 3 months at he rime it was, and she about fell off her stool!!! I am maticalious(sp) about paperwork! I don't have room to tell the why for that story... LOL Stay safe and keep the book legal!!!

I have heard drivers getting cited for log violations from 3 weeks prior. That's because they had more than the previous 8 days available for the DOT guy to see. Over 8 days, get them out of your log book and tucked away in your suitcase or someplace. You must keep old logs for 6 months in case of audit. But not in your truck .

YOU file ur taxes um might wanna keep em around(@the house of course)just a little longer -
Correct.....for tax purposes and proving something you're claiming a deduction for, keep them for 7 yrs.
