Lose power

    2013 Freightliner Cascadia Detroit DD15. As soon as I start climbing hills I losepower,even empty drivinig. I can drive only 65mph and 69 mph on cruse. Is this the problem or something else. ?

    Is this a new developement? Were you climbing hills faster before? 65 or 69 seems like a pretty decent speed up any hill with a DD15.

    If you have no fault codes. I would check make sure there’s no exhaust leaks before the turbo. Make sure there’s no leaks at your charge air cooler also you never said if there’s any weird noise? Also one of the main issues is the egr delta pressure sensor ports get clogged and effect your boost pressure. You can spray air in them to see if there clear or some carb cleaner. If it pools up on the ports there clogged, and will need to be cleaned or Venturi pipe needs to be changed which is all simple. The sensors location is on the front of the engine on a pipe coming off the intake piping
