What all could cause my 2000 Pete 379 cat 6nz to go from building 45 lbs of boost to now only 15? Replaced air to air after pressure test came up with two cracks. Truck still runs the exact same with new air to air
-
Did you try pinching the wastegate on the turbo?
-
Sounds like they dont have the same injector trim codes that PDI may have changed?
-
Air or fuel filters, boost sensor, or fuel pressure valve in filter head, ambient air temp sensor? Takes air and fuel to make boost
-
trim codes won't cause the injectors to stick
-
Have you checked the turbo? You could have a thrust bearing plate that is worn or a bearing that is worn. This would allow the wheels to make contact with their respective housing. This would cause the turbo to perform badly.
What turbo do you have? If you are getting 45 PSI of boost out of a stock 6NZ turbo then it has been living on borrowed time and may have decided to check out -
I realize that kurt i thought that after the 3 injectors were replaced that the trim codes on the new ones was not the same that pdi set them?
