Thats a bad lick,
Notice the,
Van Wasshnova may have had a medical condition that caused him to lose control of the truck he was driving, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Get used to hearing it . . . . . . . -
oh man!, sorry for the loss!
-
Could be like me, taking blood pressure medication, and a beta blocker for a heart condition, which, as we know, is perfectly legal.
But you are right. Somebody will try to exploit that, even though it could happen to anybody at any time.
I had a heart attack when I was only 45. Never saw it coming. My arm was getting numb going down the road, but I didn't know the warning signs.
Fortunately I was at next drop when it really hit me and not driving the truck. -

This is from another newspaper. Notice the ignorant, heartless comment posted there.

Scary yes. Not surprising from reading about how many truck drivers are taking "no doze" type meds to stay awake and on the road longer, and using computers and the like while they are driving. There was something in the news about that recently. Thankfully, it was another big semi he hit and not a family.

Yeah, that comment was heartless and thoughtless. But go look at how hard that fool is getting hit by ohter posters.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the driver's friend's and family.....GAPrincess Thanks this. -
Word from ORL is that driver most likely suffered heart attack behind the wheel.
-
Your meds have nothing to do with the onset of a heart attack.
I have been to heart attacks with people in perfect health and no meds.
When it hits, you may or may not have time to react depending on the type of attack or severity.
It is sad to have happened and thankfully no one else got hurt. -
I realize that. I was responding to earlier post stating that an issue could be raised regarding driver's medical condition.
As I said earlier I was getting signs hours before although I didn't recognize them.
Fortunately I was still within the time frame for the clotbuster to be administered.
A friend of mine was standing up one second and the next he sat down on the bed and fell back and died. Just that quick. No warning whatsoever. -
Sorry for your loss Mustang.
MUSTANGGT Thanks this.
