Did they have you do informational interviews with industry people? I'm suppose to do two of these, haven't really figured it out yet to be honest.
Also wanted me to write a letter to their panel? I did it, not sure about what I have, but we will see tomorrow.
Also had to do some skill testing/ job placement exercises on a website. Basically they ask you what you think about a particular job (writing, or driving, helping people, etc. etc. etc.) and on a "Like" to "dislike: scale you judge, then they add those up and calculate somehow what positions you would be good for. Results are all over the place. First of the tests had truck driving in the top three results with a 94% match, the others were all kinds of different off the wall jobs.

Also informed today by email that I have to apply for financial aid (I thought that was what I as doing with the WIA). They want me to submit a FAFSA. That's bad because my wife and I filed our taxes together the last several years. So if they base the decision off of that in anyway, I will be disqualified I'm sure. Going to try and get it finished tonight. I'll update after I get back from the meeting tomorrow.

Do you just call them up and have a phone interview? I'd imagine traveling on your own dime will add up real quick if you visit two or three places across the USA.

I did everything they made you do. The most important thing you will do is job hunt for as many places as they tell you too. I applied at more than they required. Remember they are a job finding service first and foremost so keep that in mind.

I did the interviews. I found out about wia thru my school. They helped me with paperwork and I interviewed two instructors who drove part time. I didn't have to do fafsa but had to go to local college to get some paper signed by some professor. Don't even know what the hell it was for lol. Was just given his name and address. Talked to him for a few then he signed it. School did rest. If u need me too ill answer your questions from interview for ya.

Yeah, its going to be a challenge. I can't apply (realistically to be hired I mean) for a truck driving job so they are going to want to put me back into a shop/ factory. That's one of the many reasons I was trying to get rushed through to hopefully avoid that.

The school also told me I should apply for the WIA but really couldn't answer any of my questions about it the same day she told me to go apply for it. The only person ever at the school is the one receptionist. I don't know if that would count to interview her.

The WIA people want me to fill out a FAFSA form but I can't complete it because I don't have the federal school code. I will probably have to go down there tomorrow and see about that.

Would be great if you could answer the interview questions. I honestly don't know what I even need to be asking at this point though. Hoping they can clear things up when I talk to them tomorrow.

My wife's income will disqualify me if they use the FAFSA results. Hoping something else can be done about that. I'll be moving out of here in the next couple days so her income isn't going to be available to me, hopefully they will see that.

No its easy man change your perspective on it. Be smarter than them. You can be high on 4 million substances and partially retarded while still conquering all of their little tasks. I had everything done and was sitting on my first day at roadmaster all in 1 month. Just apply at places you are under qualified for and that you know they wont hire you at. Because once you get a job they wont fund your schooling so you dont want that lol.

Around 20 of my job "applications" were verbal walk-ins asking store managers at retail stores if they were hiring managers (essentially asking the workers if i can replace them, LOL!). And for those ones all i took back to americas job center was the name of the manager i spoke with, address and phone number.

But i was hungry and spending 8-15 hour days every single working day completing their tasks, hitting the pavement and knocking on doors. It is all about how much you want it. Fight for this like your life depends on it.

That's a problem for me since we file taxes jointly. I'll send you a PM about the interview questions though
