Hello everyone in truckers report cyberspace! I am here because I love my job! My job, btw, is a nutrition and diabetes educator in a hospital setting. I have learned alot over the years from the truck drivers I have had the priviledge of interacting with and they made my realize what a different world they live in! I have tried to tailor my teaching to meet their special needs with regards to meal planning, etc on the road. I even got inspired to write an ebook just for truck drivers about diabetes meal planning! As far as my personal connection, I have family members who are truck drivers (brother and uncles) and diesel mechanics. I would like to post tips and other helpful advice to help any out there who are struggling with diabetes, etc. See you over on the health threads!

I personally would love tips on how to eat healthy when eating out. I am currently at a job that I'm home everyday, but I live alone, and HATE cooking for one! I always end up throwing away so much food! So, tips on what to eat when eating out would be great for me...

you know how much truckers eat out. well, for those of us who are not otr, but still wind up eating out entirely too often, that may help us. i know it would be great for me. doc has told me to lose weight and get my bp down. was in the e.r. the other day with the highest bp i've ever had at 197/118. it was a bit scary. i know bp is a big issue for drivers. i'm trying to figure out how to address that.
