I;m sure that there is a drain valve for the tanks without having to unscrew the cap / plug. Look harder, Not saying it's impossible but I have not seen an air system that does not have a valve to drain the air tanks. usually behind the sleeper and the drives.

alrighty will check better to make sure. when i got assigned the trk, i brought that issue to lead tech at terminal. he told me, "no drain, we will drain when you come in for maint.". should have figured they lied to me.

I had a old Pete that I could never find the leak on. I don't remember how I found it but there was something wrong with the valves inside the compressor and air was leaking back through the compressor when it wasn't pumping.

    Lepton1 and jethro712 Thank this.

Make sure that you wrote it up on the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report. Then have the mechanic sign off that it's fixed.

If you were going to keep driving that truck I would recommend watching them shave and smooth the ends of the air lines before inserting into the connectors. Good mechanics aren't necessarily good plumbers.

I respond put drains in. SO I can drain it.

Ive had trouble with tanks filling with sludge. I drain em. If shop wont install then I will do it with my own money.

    jethro712 Thanks this.
