What he's implying is that you should swing into your friendly local mega chain truck stop and pick you up a copy of a truckers atlas. Don't leave home without one. The low clearances won't be on the Oklahoma page, it'll be on the section that tells you every low clearance on every truck approved route. Maybe he'll post a pic of that. Really shouldn't be trucking out here without one. I've carried one, updated every two or three years , since 1989. Unfortunately I now opt for the large print one .

Your next purchase is the truckers bible. RAND MCNALLY Laminated MOTOR CARRIERS ATLAS DELUXE. For the current year or next year. Pay the 40 dollars and learn to use it. Sleep with it every night looking at the large print format pretty pictures and learn the territory you are in.

FIND a book that features low clearances to go with what the Rand McNally says.

TRIP plan carefully, Including calling local lawmen in some town you don't know asking about truck routes and low bridges. They are happy to help, Just don't be a steering wheel flip flop lout and make a mess of their nice town.

IF YOU EVER see a bridge ahead painted like a shark, JAWS.

DO NOT GO THAT WAY. DO. NOT.

I've used the Hammer GPS here in FL to just test it out a head of time. But I'll also need to pick up one of those. Or rather my friend will need to get one. lol
