We lived for four years on a Lagoon 440 and then sold it to payoff all the debt 4 years of sailing accumulated. o_O Selling the boat WAS NOT a good day

Sounds like some of the arched ones on the PA Turnpike.

Back maybe 4 years ago or so I detoured up to i-90 when I was supposed to be on i-80 .. the winds were so bad on i-80 they were over 100mph gusts . It derailed a train in Wyoming if I remember...
I-90 only had about 50mph sustained and 70mph gusts so I went that direction with a fully load flatbed and low profile load.. spent most of the day driving with the steering wheel a quarter turn to the right and still driving straight.
stopped at the coffee cup in Vivian south Dakota after a huge gust blew me into the left lane and I wrestled that thing all the way to the median, I for sure thought I was done for...had to pull the seat cushion out of my ### after that one
never ever fought the wind ever since that trip it scared the #### out of me. I'll take snow anyday of the week.

    Exactly.
I was thinking of those PA turnpike arches as an example.

Imagine the carnage if it was actually in the travel lane :)

    Same.

There are a ton off options to look at. I mainly used wind gusts and precipitation type

Pretty much. Some of the original bridges, I'd guess. Pretty much everything else is modern beam construction. SmartSelect_20250322-092243_Maps.jpg SmartSelect_20250322-092408_Maps.jpg
