I had a car with two pitcocks. It had to be jacked up or on hill then crack them open otherwise air stayed in.

Well still a problem. As soon as hot enough to open thermostats the tank fills all the way up. Looks like bubbles on driver side of tank or just maybe from vibration.
Light comes on at idle for low coolant. Goes out as soon as I drive about 20 feet.
    Float is working .
I assume both hoses on back of block are outlets so it would not matter if they were switched when installed ?
If I loosem cap I just loose a half gallon coolant and solves nothing.
So why would tank full up when thermostats open .

I know this is a long shot & its a different truck but, just to mention it.

2019 International occasionally had this issue. One morning I got in it, did my pretrip & light came on. By the time I finished my pretrip, the truck died. I restarted & went to the shop right down the street from us & asked if he could change out that sensor right quick. He said, "Lets try to clean it. Wont take but a sec."
He unplugged it, screwed it out, had me hold my finger over the hole while he cleaned up the end of it with a shop rag & stuck it back in. Refilled the tank. That's been six months or more & haven't had an issue since.

May not help you but he said its common. I just thought I'd mention it. Good luck......

If the coolant level is above the cold full mark and your warning is going off you need a new tank.

heater lines out can be swapped, makes no difference.

It fills all the way up and if undo cap will poor out at idle a half gallon coolant .
Float is floating up with it.
Wired that light goes out as soon as I start driving. Although coolant level remains full to top

I just started truck. Light was on when I parked a couple hours ago. Light came right on. I idled to 1500. About a minute later it went off.
I knew I should have just bought another freight shaker . At least it's problems were not this odd.
