It says now the price is $1,995 and monthly bill $64.99. If this lasts for even a year it would still be worth it. Verizon has been taken to court to uphold these UDP plans but that is a lot of cash to fork over. He claims to be the only one on EBay that can do the AOl now. He must have some inside track.
There was a glitch when Verizon started selling Iphones a couple of years ago and people could add UDP plans to existing accounts if they bought a new IPhone. So people were buying up Iphones in the hope of reselling the phones and dumping the UDP on eBay or somewhere or renting the plan out. Because they got the IPhone at the $199 price and could resell it for $600. All they had to do was get it off the plan by doing an AOL or renting it out to cover the cost and then some.
I have followed all this. I was worried in the beginning that Verizon would catch on and cancel the accounts so I chose to rent. Before this I was paying $140 a month for Verizon data , 40gb, from Millenicom. Right now 10gb from Verizon is $80 a month so 40 gb woulb be $320. So if you're a heavy user, even renting at $200 a month is still a good deal. I am renting at $147 a month and use between 60 and 100 gb per month.
I might consider this deal though. Thinking about it. I could eliminate my phone bill in the process by taking on the minutes for that. Risky though still I think. I will decide in the next couple of weeks and update. -
And this is for people that are really into high speed data almost anywhere. There are plenty of lesser UDP plans from other carriers but Verizon still has a massive advantage geographically. It's why they charge so much. Right now I'm in the middle of SD watching Netflix in HD and when finished with dinner will play fps COD multiplayer.

I noticed the price had doubled on ebay since I bought mine. I bought from the same guy & he made it happen with Verizon even though I didn't already have a UDP line. Been extremely pleased so far.

Decided against it. It would take almost a year for me to break even with my current rent and phone bill. My rent for UDP is $147 , phone bill $33. That's $2160 for the year. I am just worried Verizon is going to find a way out of the UDP plans. But I think it will last at least another year so you should be good. If knew it was going to be good for another few years I would try the AOL.
