I actually have Lower Back Issues, but so far Driving has not affected it.
Normally it doesn't hurt too much unless I do something stupid to aggravate it.

FLATBED Thanks this. -
Yep, get an MRI done. Back problems are common in this industry If you don't bust a disc, you'll compress two or three of them. Mine didn't start hurting until 2004 and gradually got worse. Now it feels like someone is shoving a knife in my spine when I walk.
An easy remedy and you can google "tens unit" which cost around $40 will take the pain away. That and a heating pad.FLATBED Thanks this. -
It's hard to say what will work and what will not. Yhere's many problems that you could have with your back and there's different approaches that will work and some that will not.
It would be wise to find the exact problem so you'll know if you can get better or worse. It's hard to get a doctor to give you the test you need but if they do they can pin point your problem. Of course the MRI is a very good basic tool and that will tell you that you have problems in your spine. But like said before doctor will take the easist and cheapest way first.
You can download some excercises for the NET and try them. If they do help then there's a good chance your problem is in your back muscle. Foe that pain hot and cold works great for me. 20 mins on each on. If the pain still keeps going I would try to get a very good back brace and only wear it while loading and unloading. You do not want to wear it all the time because then your muscles will weaken.
If you have more problems then there's a couple of quick test you can do to see where the pain is coming from. Lay flat on your back and pull one leg up to your chest. If the pain goes away or feels better then it's most likely a herniated disc in the L-4 region. If you have pain shooting all the way down the back of your leg then it will be the lower Lumbar section L4-L5,L5-S1. Those are the most common. An MRI will show any herination but a MylarGram will replicate any pain. They inject a dye into the area that they think is bad then they swing you upside down to put pressure on your disc. If you have a bad disc you'll be screaming for mommy.
The only one that can tell you how and what to do is your doctor after he's done some test. Not any of us can say you have this problem and you should do this. All we can do is pass onto you what has helped for ourselves. So if the pain continues see a doctor. Everytime that I have gotten hurt with my back it's not until the next day when the real pain shows up. They always want to ask you exactly where did you get hurt and sometimes if it hurt then you really messed something up.
Try the belt and hot and cold while resting. If you're over weight (like me) you know that story. Try to remember to lift with your legs and don't extend outward while loading something.
