Hello all. What's everyone doing to lower the front end of the older Peterbilt 379's? I have a 1993 flat top and wanting to complete the look and shorten the distance between the top of the front tire and fender. I've heard people take the spacer blocks out on the leafs. What about the rear height and drive line angles? Anyone here done this?
This is a forum so here comes the keyboard criticism...

22s, lp tires, lowest suspension setting and covered by full fenders should do the trick.
wjhuskey Thanks this. -
I took the blocks out of my 379. It was on low air, never had a driveline or ride heights issue. Spring shop shimmed it for me so the caster would be correct. Never had an issue.

Does this look noticeable that it sets lower than the rear since nothing is done to the rear to level it with the front? Just wondering...

I will have to dig for some before and after pictures. It did give it a slightly different look. I didn’t want a slammed look, just a little lower.

Same here. Not wanting a slammed look, just want to make it look like the later model 379's with the lower suspension that has a smaller gap above the steer tires.260REM Thanks this.

Any updates on this ? I have a '90 that i would like to lower also.

I never did that or want to. However the one I just put a spring in had about a 3 inch aluminum block between the axle and the spring.
If you took that to a machine shop that could cut that down an inch or two you would get your drop. Then your caster will be screwed up.mile marker 27 and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
No updates from me at least. Still haven't done anything to my truck. Too many wishy washy answers.260REM and BoxCarKidd Thank this.

I THANK IT WOULD LOOK WRONG! Suit yourself but I would be more worried about causing vibrations, odd tire wear and such.
