Wouldn’t that be about the same as a road legal yard dog? Put 19.5’s on it and get it low.

More motor and suspension being the biggest differences, along with not sitting on top of the engine. Most yard tractors I've used have a Cummins 5.9, and solid mount rear axle. I do a lot of metro driving, and have done a good bit of LTL flatbed work in the past, and this has been a recurring idea bouncing around my skull.

Must be an east coast thing. I can only think of a hand full of times I have had to go around a low bridge even with a 13’ tall truck. Current truck is 12’ to the top of the stacks and is a whole lot more comfortable then a yard truck.

No one cares if those skinny straights hit a bridge because then they'll just get bent and look like all the other ones.

    Lepton1 and kylefitzy Thank this.
