i agree...from a sheer driving perspective that city work is more difficult. the only thing i can figure is the liability involved with linehaul. 99% of p&d crashes are fender benders, maybe averaging $15-20k a pop...?
linehaul has a crash and i’d guess it’s close to a million by the time it is said and done. typically total loss on equipment and freight, hopefully no people seriously injured or worse. -
The only hard part about linehaul is not falling asleep. Most of the time drivers don’t get enough sleep and come to work tired before they even start working.Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this.

If you're comparing accident rates from P&D to Linehaul, I think it is a difference in frequency vs. total liability.
City accidents = high sum due to higher amount of drivers on the road, quantity vs. quality type thing
