Yes it will, and keeps the revenue up quite a bit. I can get 7+mpg with those loads. And most the ones I do only go across town and pay about $500 ;)

I own the truck, I pull Landstars trailer.

I just did a LTL Monday while I was waiting to load. I got to the shingle factory and there were 9 trucks in line to get loaded and everyone went on lunch break. I asked the shipping manager how long he thought it would be before I got up to be loaded. He told me it would about 4 hours most likely since they only have 1 guy loading trucks. He then told me that at 7pm the 2nd guy comes in and most trucks are all gone by then (24hr shipping facility)

So I called a local agent and he got me a load right down the street going 12 miles to another warehouse for $550. I went back to the shingle place at 8pm and there was nobody in line. I wa loaded and out the gate in 1 hour ;)

Nice got lucky then. Got some extra cash while waiting for the load. Are you local or do you go OTR as well?

Finish hahaha, after it's been loaded on 4 or 5 trucks your lucky to get it in one piece. With some of these fly by night LTL companies there are so many holes in the trailer it might as well have been on a flat bed. I remember one LTL outfit I worked for that gave the drivers a role of plastic so the freight wouldn't get wet. I'm not sure what would have been wrong with just fixing the trailers.

i've seen some stuff on R&L and Estes trailers when they've dropped at the warehouse i work at.

small metal wire coils(small meaning maybe 3 feet across) and some other odd shaped things, not sure what as it was wrapped with black shrink wrap type stuff. felt bad for one guy the other day though, some numskull damaged 3 cans of red lacquer and it spilled in the trailer. i could smell the fumes from probably 20 feet away.

also, i imagine unless its too tall or too wide that if it'd fit on a flatbed it'd fit in a van as well.

Ditto. I make a living loading 3 loads on one trailer.
