What do you guys use to help secure push on lug nut covers? Not enough threads to use thread on covers.

Rip a piece of paper towel, put it over the lug nut and stuff the cover over it.......

I use the threaded one now, before that, I used the push in Alcoa plastic with the metal inside clips all around, rarely had any issues, then the Time before that(way back) it was the metal cap covers, those were the worst, anyway, those metal ones I smashed(bent them in) them a little and they held. I’ve seen a few used silicon
