Put chrome nut covers on, no one will know the difference.

My company truck has flush lugs with studs on the steers. If they protruded past the outside of the lug, I may become wider than eight and a half feet.

Anyway, never been stopped, cited, flagged, inspected, asked, recalled, reprimanded, given the stink eye for my lugs on studs.

Then again, in my entire career of five years, the lower 48 states too include PA, MD, NJ, NY, and DE, now that I'm extended local have not felt the need to inspect myself or the magical carpet I ride.

My 630 came with steel drives.. I put aluminum on the outside and never got questioned about the lugs being flush with the studs. I eventually put longer studs to have full aluminum wheels.

The studs cost me about $1000 and a tire guy charged me 90 per side to have the studs replaced

I've never looked close enough, is it the same way as replacing a stud on a car?

Ya basically. Hope you got a good impact gun. Better to do it when you have the hub off for some reason.

You need to stop by Harbor Freight and ask for a bolt stretcher.
Should do the trick. Auto Zone might have them too but idk.

Can you loan me some money for the stretcher? I like to go camping and spent all my savings on a left handed smoke shifter.

If that's the case, that's expensive!

IIRC sometimes there isn't enough room to fish the new studs in from the back. That's when you have to take the hub off and use a press. Using a press is better anyways l think. Less stress on the studs and splines. Btw l have seen shorter lug nuts too.
