See this just shows your "rookie" status. All us old timers would have pulled that old fart off his fork lift and stuck HIM in the trailer with the pallet jack. That way he could tailgate the load to us and we would be on the fork lift, kicking back and relaxing, watching him sweat!
(Don't get pissed Yodler, I'm just pulling your chain.)![]()

Y'all keep whining and I'LL keep lumping my own when feasible and collecting those outrageous rates myself. made 135 bucks today unloading 9 pallets at 2 stops.
first was straight pull of 6 pallets, second was 3 pallets breaking down to 8. EASY MONEY -
Exactly, that was what I was saying - I'd lump my own loads every time I could.

Check out #2 and #6 in the link. The net effects for drivers who had P&G loads were 1) reduced waiting at docks 2) mechanized unloading by consignees; when they bought a truckload of palletized freight they got discounts from P&G and they could get stuff off the trailers faster. 3) standardized unloading fees and billing practices.

Most important thing the backs of those bill's said is and I quote
"Driver will not sort and segregate."
Further down was;
"Driver if asked to unload or pay for unloading service call XXX-XXX-XXXX immediately"
I called it one time at a Wal-Mart that had a new girl at the window whom informed me everyone was to pay $50!
Very nice lady took my name asked for the recievers name and employee id if available, told me she would call me back within 10 minutes.
4 Minutes later the ladies phone rang and the DC Manager was informing her to unload my truck and that it she was never to attempt to charge for any P+G product.
About that time my phone rang and she assured me the situationwas being corrected and to let her know if I had any further problems with the consignee.
Just gotta love a company that finally said enough is friggin' enough, and then back the drivers instead of dumping it in our laps.alds, Infosaur, scottied67 and 2 others Thank this. -
Thanks, Tazz!
