Lying about sleep apnea?

I had the same idea and told the company HR person that I already had a DOT card. I was informed that the company rules demand that you see their medical provider. So surprise it was Concentra and they will NOT accept any other Doctor's findings.

So how many people are getting a kick back from Concetra and the sleep study clinics that they use?

 

What a scam.
Never agree to a sleep study.
They can keep their health insurance too!

 

I actually had the home sleep study done. The tech from the clinic came to my house and did a personal assessment.

He made notes of my size and not just neck circumference. He looked at my arms and chest and commented that I must have been a serious weight lifter at one time.

He asked my wife if I snored or she ever heard me gasping for air. My wife explained that she is a light sleeper and would have sent me to the Doctor if I she had ever heard that.

He showed me how to attach the machine and I wore it for 2 nights. Surprise, surprise, No sleep apnea. My there be a special place in Hell for those Concentra doctors.
