I've had this problem countless times with CHR loads even though it was a dedicated ch rep for my previous carrier.

Caught TQL today in a lie trying to screw me.

Team truck, they called me on a 3 stop 160 mile night run.
Pick up at 7pm, final a 7am.. was told last two can take me eariler.
Being we are a team I demanded detention after 2 hours, without it no deal.

All good, we agreed and rate con sent over.
That is until I saw the rate con.
Final appointment was shown at 4pm! Broker told me final was at 7am!!! on this shorty load! no way Jose!
Call them back and demand they fix the rate con, TQL says sure no problem (broker I booked load with went home for the day at this point supposedly)
Instead they sent an email saying 4pm is the actual appointment, that 7am they didn't know where I heard it from (lol really) and that they will try to work us in eariler.
I know what that means, this 160 mile load could turn into a 24 hour load before I get any detention.
No way, doesn't pay enough for that risk.
Call again, demanded they put what the broker said (7am on final and detention after two hours) in the rate con or else I'm not doing the load.. plus at that point it was likely too late to be recovered.

It ended in me not doing the load because they didn't change the rate con to what the broker told me from the start.
Told TQL we both could have saved time and money if you were just honest from the start.

Yeah Yeah TQL I know but I've actually got some good rates from them recently. This broker lying sheet is a daily occurrence, I'm over it.

Thats a rare thing though........Expecting 3 stops done by 7am??
Doesn't happen in real life with many receivers

Why didn't you just accept the 4pm last delivery and charge accordingly for it? That way You and co driver made good money and you didn't kill yourselves...

Yeah,I Would have agreed on a 3 stopper loading 7pm, final at 4pm next day for $1,100 on 160 miles

IF YOU WERE NO WHERE CLOSE TO $1100...Then its your fault

Don't fall for the "Hey,I gotta 3 stopper 160 miles for $800 you can get it done in 12 hours" BS.

The final two were very close by, plus only a couple pallets worth. The appointments were supposedly set prior to this interaction.
We agreed to $1200 for the load and detention after two hours, it gave us something to do for over the night.
$1200 in a day is good for a solo doing a shorty but not for a team, especially so being I pay the driver salary not the per mile bs. None of that really matters, the point is don't lie to me.
Just imagine if the tables were turned and I told a broker I could make an appointment just fine when really I couldn't but just wanted to lock down the load and would make up some story after.
Crap like that on both ends is bring this industry down to sad disgusting levels.

I don't think you'll find better than $1100-$1200 on 160 miles from a broker with 3 stops,Money was there, It was a matter of honesty like you say.......... I know your a team, If you choose these shorties, your Not Getting $1500-$2000 on 160 miles, Market wont allow that.
Too many idiots would do that for under a grand.........Unfortunately

You're wrong. I've gotten it on one pick one drop loads. Just did one Sunday that booked for $1,500 on 170 miles. The only way you're not getting it is if you're not asking for it or in a really lousy market. A 160 mile multi dropper that picked up late and finalled late afternoon the next day I would not hesitate to quote a minimum of $2,000 on that.

I guess you're gonna do real well come December 18 with your <100 mile plan, or do those go for more than the 150 mile loads at 600-900..

Im not too sure what your asking here?

    My Local work?

20-60 mile stuff,Daily Work- No Spot Market any longer-
Between $500-$600 8 hour day or less-

Im Fine with it because its STEADY daily work- Done by 1-2pm.......

The Longer stuff (75-120 miles) $600-800 per day-

The best part? its There When I want it-Need it- No Searching customer e-mails or putting in quotes

I don't need to squeeze the towel any more-
