Had a slight miss in my 1998 M11 2x now. Do this:

Drive into a KW dealer with a load on. Insist that they grab the laptop with Insite and plug it into the data port on the truck. Go for a test ride while the tech sits in the passenger seat and looks at what Insite says about each individual injector flow. I bet you have a bad injector. Insite will show one is not flowing enough fuel.

I say insist, because the first time it happened the tech was convinced it was electrical so he chased wires and made wiring harnesses for 6 hrs. Then he dropped th edrive shaft and tightened the tone ring and installed a new VSS sensor. No change so then he told me I needed a computer. That's when I put the brakes on and we went for the ride. Sure enough, #6 was missing but only under load. IT DOES NOT SHOW UP ON A CUTOUT TEST.
