You are probably right Les2 about the arch. I just know what the dealer told me and from filling out the build sheet for the two reitnouers I worked on ordering last week. In the build sheet it has the option for the relaxed arch and a regular arch. When I asked about the difference the dealer told me they don’t order them anymore with the regular arch because of the complaints. I’m ordering mine with the bigger arch. Sorry for miss information.

I will have to take your word on the big Bubba rating. The 05 I have is only rated at 60,000 in 4ft and the new big bubba is only rated for 60,000 in 4ft. The bigger bubba according to the build sheet is a 2400 dollar upgrade to get 72,000 in 4ft.

Thank you for your concern about that coil being hauled, but that coil was hauled 4 years ago. And my trailer is in no danger of breaking. If I did it everyday it would probably get fatigued. Compared to what I saw being done at pgt when I was leased to them I babied my trailer.

When you said relaxed arch I assumed you meant more flexible not a lower arch. I think all trailer makers have different arch heights.

I would stay away from Benson because they're now owned by Wabash/Transcrack. A guy here has an '06 East drop and the neck cracked, East knew this was a problem with certain years but wouldn't fix it. He ended up taking it to Ravens who fixed the issue the way East should have. The thing I don't care for with a Reitnouer is they don't trust they're engineering capabilities enough to use aluminum for the whole trailer. They use steel in the neck of a drop and on the stinger of a b-train where Mac will use aluminum everywhere. You can also get a wood floor with Mac, I think Reitnouer will also but they don't really specify "custom floor designs also available". I'm not knocking Reitnouer, they build a good trailer but IMO if I'm writing the check you build it how I want it. Mac is the only company that I've seen that will do that. Even when we order grain hoppers Timpte won't do what Wilson will. I wanted Intraax 300 suspension so all our trailers would have the same parts. Wilson would do it but Timpte said the same thing Reitnouer did "you don't need that".

Do you have a link for that? I couldn't find it on truckpaper. Nor Google.

I know two people with spread axle manacs and they like them. Macs are a nicer trailer I think and they will build it the way you want it. I pull some all steel 3 axle manacs for a local place here and they take a beating but seem to hold well.
