    Maybe it better that I don't live close, we could be dangerous.

    Need to have a little danger once in a while. silo 1.jpg 10 years before I bought the farm there was a silo fire. Fire Dept. showed up and dowsed it with water and foam. It lit up again a few days later. The 2nd fire call would have been a big bill so they ran a garden hose up there on and off for a few weeks. They tried to empty it out later but didn't have any luck so they just left it sit.
    Fast forward 10 years the bottom row of staves was so rotted from the acid water leaking out you could kick your boot right through into the haylage. Only thing holding it up was the haylage itself.
    Took a few years to work up the courage. But one boring day a few fellow nut jobs stopped over. The drinking commenced way to early in the day. Didn't even manage to hit anything on the way down.

    Silo demolition. One of my favorite things to look up on YouTube.

    Still thinking it over. Have the opportunity to rent quite a bit more ground for this spring. Would mean an even smaller window of "Getting the *** out of here and go long haul truckin".
    Probably not the best investment right now.
    Sure would look purdy in the driveway though. :)

    I'd say rent more ground and buy it. Hurry the deal might not last;

    Orangees and Old Iron Thank this.

    There is a plus to the long upper deck. I have one of my deck levelers across the front (use it as a "headboard"), Stack my tarps on the deck behind it and still have 8 ½' of useable upper deck and my tarps are off the tractor frame. Let's see, that's 4 cents I've invested here. HA!

    Old Iron Thanks this.
