I'm having a problem with the fan switch on my CH. Question is do I have to change the entire slide control or can you extract the switch itself from the cluster??

I have (2) 2007 mack granite cv713 tri-axle dump trucks and I was having a problem with the fan switch and the lights on the heater air conditioner control panel on one truck. This is one complete panel and has to be replaced as one. I just replaced mine at a cost of $196.00.

If your CH is pre-2001, you can replace the switch only. I think its about $22.00. If it is post 2001, then like the above post states you have to buy the entire assembly, and yhea, they are about $ 200.00.

I'm wondering, the HVAC on this dog is a joke by design....with the cable under the hood to a valve gig and the evap sitting next to heater core. I can't imagine what the design guys were thinking on this one.

probably the same guy that designed the seats, pure evil. -
The cable is the heater control cable. As long as that functions properly, it will shut off the hot coolant going into the engine and not interfere with the cooling of the evaporator core.

Copy the supposed to...... uhm while we're doing q&a ( I'm still waiting 4 u on my air ride) Those pesky lil air hoses to the HVAC control that operate the vent doors, How do I unhook them from the control ? They seem to have a barb and a O ring on them.
And the micro switch that supposed to drop out the a/c comp in heat mode, not working. Can you get this guy or is it part of the control?
Tks....
