Hello all I'm in the process of buying a 2015 Granite dump truck with a Cummings ISL9 engine and I don't know it this is a Medium Duty or Heavy Duty engine. I'll will be hauling 70k lbs on a daily basis. Can someone help me with this since there aren't a lot of information about it online. I feel this engine will be too small for what I will be doing. It'll do the job but you won't win any races with it. Probably best off finding something a little bigger than a 9L.
Yea.....thats pretty underpowered. I have a MX13 and its a 12.9 liter engine and is sluggish as hell pulling that kinda weight. Best bet is to go with a bigger engine if posible.
