Your used to big cat power but if you find an older Mack CH that's clean go check it out. There like the 60 series, a few mods really wakes em up. 550hp is easy with a tune and turbo. Add injectors and that's ~600hp at the crank and still reliable With the Hendrickson air ride they ride really smooth. As hard as that is to believe Lol with their Camelback suspension reputation Lol.
What years are you talking? Not going to lie, my buddy laughed at me when I told him what I was looking at. Gonna be hard getting used to something with 1/2 the hp. However, I just wanna make money with it. I don't want to dump alot of money into aftertreatment and better mpg would be nice. I've looked at soooo many trucks lately it's not even funny. I just can't see the value in any of them, but the macks and stars. There are so few stars in the US, I've kinda given up on them. If nothing else, I'll just use this next truck until things turn around and I can buy a new one. If the world doesn't melt down before then.
91-97 are the Bosch P7100 injection pump that can be converted back to full mechanical. And 98-03 fully electronic with unit pump fuel system. 04-07 had EGR I'd steer clear of those. The old 454 half breed mechanical was 1660tq same as the 460 fully electronic E-tech E7 1660
Not sure if I want to trade one old truck for another. That's kinda the reason I'm looking at trucks, want something newer.
Yeah, tons of them in Canadia. I've looked at importing one. There is a company in New York that does it turn key. Not alot of them down here. In the end, I'm kinda just tired of dumping money into this one and want something newer with more comforts and what not. I'm just not comfortable with new trucks and I'm kinda overwhelmed by it all.
I would avoid the 05 and 09. The best bet is 2013 and up engine build dates. Have alot of friends that have pinnacles with mp7 and mp8. After treatment issues have been minimum and way less then isx. One buddy of mine has 3 macks with mp7s and the mileage of all 3 is between 1 mil-1.3 mil miles no engine rebuild.
