I keep telling myself that man. I am a hard worker, been working since I was a kid and was really ready to prove myself to them but they wouldn't give me a chance to. I told that guy you have all these old men running around here with TMC shirts on with beer guts down to their knees and youre sending me home for this? that was ab to last comment I got in before my escort arrived. so I should be fine on the reports? bc on my driving report (when I got my license) it showed like DOT medical physical and the date (when I got my med card). just making sure im not going to have this thing kill me when I call McElroy.

I worked for Hogan Transport for 10 hours, I had more holes in my DAC than the Afgahn navy after I left on the second day of orientation. Decided they weren't for me; just speaking with some of the drivers in the Columbus terminal I knew it would be a bad choice. I went in and spoke with the orientation manager "Hey, I just don't see this working out." He was awfully pissed that I waited until day 2 of 3 to tell him I didn't want to work there.
At any rate this was back in August, I pulled my DAC in the beginning of December, more or less out of curiosity, Hogan reported to Hire right that I was terminated (unlisted reason, read "General termination.") lol!

    It's still being disputed.

yes I am in perfect health. I told them that. I said please don't send me home I will take this off and run back to the hotel just to prove it to you, told them I would duck walk around the parking lot. he said "im not a doctor how do I know what you knee condition is" I said if I can run miles, do squats, and race dirtbikes don't you think its ok? he said pack up and head home.

Jbatmick made a good comment, that doctor was just doing his job by passing on your application. You showed him a clear potential risk, and he made an appropriate response. You can't possibly think a doctor is going to watch a job applicant work out, run back to the hotel, so on? It is to laugh. One point, the whole truck industry is like that, not just the one you ran into at TMC. Nobody has time, nobody cares, it's all about wheels and miles. So, show up prepared, clean paper (you might need a doctor's statement about your knee, like Drivers Girl said), don't wave any potential problems at anybody, and above all, don't ask for special treatment.

Don't eat 6 McDoubles before your stress test. :)

Do you wear a ski mask when you enter a store?

I would give you the boot too. If this guy needs to wear this for physical the there will probably be a blowout when it comes time to lift tarps.

Because you have to pass a physical before you can be hired, you never worked for TMC. If your DAC says otherwise, you file your answer with them. A DOT physical is part of a company physical. The company may have different standards then DOT does. For example some companies require hair testing for drugs.

What I would ask myself is just how upset you are with TMC. Do you really want to work for a company that has CS rules like that? If you do, then look into getting an attorney to file against them for America Disability Act. I believe a court would think that wearing a bandage is a reasonable response to a knee injury and that the company should make allowances for that. I believe they probably should even pay for the bandages themselves.

If you live in Florida, I can recommend a great attorney and a beautiful ex-girlfriend. Of course I haven't seen her for 30 years and she might not have aged as well as I delude myself into thinking.

Or waffles drowning in syrup the morning of the physical lol. Know a few drivers who did that, my bf included (he is diabetic but we didn't know it at the time so his blood sugar level was super high lol).

So where are you from? There are other companies out there. Roehl, Melton, Boyd, Decker and Maverick are all flatbed companies if you want to pull those. TMC is known for being very strict on everything so maybe (probably) they did you a favor. I'm sure you'll find a job. There are plenty of companies.

haha I see your logic with the ski mask thing. I guess I just didn't think it all the way through. Im not mad at the doc, he was doing his job. A bit overkill I think but it happens. I just don't want it to hurt me the next time. And I can promise the next time there will be no traces of an ace bandage...a band aid....might even get rid of the steel toes....hate for somebody to think I have a fragile toe issue and fail me.
