Given the tranny issues you might want to opt for a ‘17...

If your talking about on the logs I always just our trip number. DOT has never had an issue with that and I’m the king of getting my logs inspected.

Keep trying they had 17 people in orientation last week. They usually have 2 or 3 so I imagine he was quite busy.

We're here to help! I've only been driving for 2 years. I'm not a whole lot of help with outside the box stuff. If I don't know the answer I keep my mouth shut.

You also have the list of knowledgeable drivers numbers in your orientation packet. If you need hasty assistance, that's a great place to start. Those drivers are aware they are on the list and are in there voluntarily to help others. It can be frustrating sometimes to wait for a response on the forums. But we're all willing to help where we can.

In the LTL world we use a manifest number, instead of a BOL. When I shuttled LTL trailers from CR to fargo, I just used the manifest number. Even now, we input a manifest number into our peoplenet, or if pulling doubles, both manifest numbers with the trailers and dolly number.

[QUOTE="Stone Dude, post: 8239478, member: 187507"This truck I picked up was #### Like bad. They gave me the choice of keeping this ‘19 or getting the ‘17 I was originally scheduled to get, and I’m not sure which I’d rather take honestly.[/QUOTE]

Ugh I know gang wasn’t a fun ride. I have been seeing some of these trucks (I know mines is not the best) and I am like that’s just to messy...crap piled up on the dash and Windows all messed up. So it wouldn’t surprise with a 19 being messed up.

DOT just verified what you guys told me. They don't care about what numbers are used. Just so long as it clearly identifies it as my load. Where it came from, going. What the load is. etc. etc. etc.
    Thanks Guys!

    For real!

I must say my December 2018 sucked as far as miles go because of this. Take the 2 weeks I was broke down and add my holiday vacation, I didn't drive much!

And one thing I didn't mention here before was Magnum really hooked me up big time with my 2-week breakdown. It's supposed to be $75 a day breakdown pay. Matt G personally contacted me and sympathized with me. He noted this is not a common occurrence so he wanted to make it worth my time. We agreed my 2018 average weekly pay x2 was fair, since I pushed through it and remained loyal through a significant breakdown, didn't make any demands or threats... and a very frustrating situation. So I basically got 2 weeks paid vacation. Not the ideal vacation (it was basically 2 weeks of "it may be ready this afternoon" and it seemed Peterbilt was not very effective in communicating what exactly the problem was and how they were fixing it), but it was a very nice gesture that Magnum did not promise ahead of time and were not obligated to do. If that's not looking out, I don't know what is!

I am praying mine doesn’t go out, but I do have oil leak....getting that fixed before I get a trainee. I heard someone else had to have a whole tranny replaced.

    CJ701 and Zata40 Thank this.
