    Who said anything about the DOT enforcing the CB laws? Since 2000, state and local governments have been allowed to make and enforce laws regarding unauthorized equipment (export radios, amps, "tweaked and peaked" CBs) on the CB channels, as well as out of band operation between 24-35 MHz.

    And if the locals see a potential revenue source, they're going to check it out.

    That maybe true. But since when have you EVER seen local agency bother a truckdriver over a peaked radio!?!?! There are local breaks held in the same place, same time every year were thousands of watts are and have yet to see any agency show up
