We get paid by the percent of the load. Our company puts on the pay stubs how much they say that they got paid for the load and then they take their percent out of that amount. Is their some paperwork that they have that would show that, so I know that they are being honest with how much they are getting. What is the paperwork called and do they have to give us a copy of them if we ask for them? I asked and they said that they did not have any. I am not saying that they are dishonest but would like to know for sure.

They are lying to you. All loads require a confirmation sheet that the company has to sign and return to the broker. It will have the actual rate for the load on there. When the company signs it, they are agreeing to do the load for that amount of money.
The next time ask for a copy of the load confirmation sheetdar7760 Thanks this. -
First off, thank you for the reply.
Second, do they HAVE to give it to me, if they refuse is there anything I can do to force them to give it to me so I can double check? What about past ones? Like the past year or so I noticed that our wages dropped and that's why I was asking. -
no you cant make them as far as I know, you can call the broker and ask them to send you one. If it were me, I would ask to speak to the CEO or president of the company. That could be enough to get you copies in itself. An attorney would be your only other option. The main point is that if your company wont give you a copy then they have something to hide, in this case money-.
One of the advantages of your own authority, along with all the disadvantages. -
Is this a company truck or are you a O/O. Because I am not quite sure but if you are a O/O leased on to them at a percentage by law they are required to provide you with a copy of the load confirmation sheet upon request. Like I said I may be wrong so dont no one go bashing my brain
outerspacehillbilly Thanks this. -
Exactly. If they won't give it to you they are hiding something ( and that something is MONEY ). I use to drive for a small outfit that paid pct and they use to give me copies of all the rate confirmations and I was even a company driver.dar7760 Thanks this. -
I thought there was a section in the FMCSA rules stating that a company had to give the information to drivers on percentage pay??

(g) Copies of freight bill or other form of freight documentation When a lessors revenue is based on a percentage of the gross revenue for a shipment, the lease must specify that the authorized carrier will give the lessor, before or at the time of settlement, a copy of the rated freight bill or a computer-generated document containing the same information, or, in the case of contract carriers, any other form of documentation actually used for a shipment containing the same information that would appear on a rated freight bill. When a computer-generated document is provided, the lease will permit lessor to view, during normal business hours, a copy of any actual document underlying the computer-generated document. Regardless of the method of compensation, the lease must permit lessor to examine copies of the carriers tariff or, in the case of contract carriers, other documents from which rates and charges are computed, provided that where rates and charges are computed from a contract of a contract carrier, only those portions of the contract containing the same information that would appear on a rated freight bill need be disclosed. The authorized carrier may delete the names of shippers and consignees shown on the freight bill or other form of documentation.outerspacehillbilly, Mr. PlumCrazy, walleye and 1 other person Thank this. -
There is and they do, but, if they are skimming off the top they will refuse and you'll have to push and it may cost you your job. Not that it would really matter in this case.walleye Thanks this.
