The thick K40 4bolt Mount has held my K40 open coil on a 4ft 5/8th threaded rod extension for over a year now. I've broken 2 of the aluminum bird perches ears with this setup but not the K40 thick 4bolt Mount yet.

With a little fabrication anything is possible. You could have a fab shop cut threads on the round part, and make one of these out of stainless, and sandwich this between a couple giant nuts torqued really tight.

Yeap thats the one im thinkin of..plus it adds a smidge amount of metal under the antenna..

My Wilson aluminum bracket broke a while ago. A coworker fabricated replacements for himself and me out of fairly thick flat stainless steel stock and a large stainless steel bolt for the antenna bracket perch. Much sturdier and swr shows as 1.1-1 on all forty channels according to both the radio's meter and his external meter.mike5511 Thanks this.

Didnt know you could get a 1.1-1 across all 40..Must have all your ducks in a row big time..

I bought a k40 mount..Same as basic ant mount just thicker material..Not the one i wanted but it will do for now..
Wonder if i mount 2 ant mounts on the same mirror mount and join them with a cpl braded straps if it would help these cascadias any.. -
