    All the u-joints I’ve replaced, came with loctite on the bolts and no locking straps.

    We use Meritor brands.

    That's my point get some installed it may save you some time and money in the future..

    I will start asking for locking straps next time I order u-joints.

    OK, gotcha. I am brain dead I had in my mind we were talking about the straps on half rounds, not the bend over lock straps . Iirc they quit coming with the joints quite a while back, I have a bin full of them in the bolt bin though, that is why I could not figure out what safety wire would do, since no holes in the bolts on half rounds. do the new full rounds still have holes in them?

    Starmac: I have not seen holes in the bolts on any new joints lately.
